Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms govern membership of Nookyard, operated by VPG Concept Studio SRL (“we”). By applying for or using a membership you agree to them.
1. Membership & access
Membership is by application and admin review, being able to apply does not guarantee acceptance, and we may decline or revoke membership at our discretion (subject to applicable law). Your account is personal to you; don’t share your login. You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
2. Reservations & slots
The club runs in two daily weekday slots, Morning (09:30–13:30) and Afternoon (14:30–18:30), Europe/Bucharest, with a lunch break (13:30–14:30) between them (no slot). Saturday mornings (08:30–13:00) are walk-in (no reservation needed). Each weekday slot has a limited number of places, so a reservation is your intention to attend a specific day and slot. Same-day reservations are allowed while the slot hasn’t ended. Reserving a slot doesn’t guarantee a specific seat; physical space is shared with the host café.
3. Cancellations & no-shows
Plans change, you can cancel anytime. To keep places available for others, please cancel at least 12 hours before a slot starts. A cancellation made less than 12 hours before the slot, or simply not turning up to a slot you reserved, counts as a no-show.
If you reach 3 no-shows within a rolling 30 days, your ability to make advance reservations is paused for 14 days. This never affects walking in: walk-in attendance and venue check-in always remain available, as does redeeming your daily coffee. No-show enforcement may be introduced gradually; we’ll record the data fairly in the meantime.
4. Day passes
A day pass gives you the club for a single day. You buy it yourself, for yourself: it requires your own account, completing onboarding, and accepting these terms at signup. The price is the one shown at checkout and on the day-pass page. One pass per person per day; you pick the date when you buy, up to 30 days ahead.
A day pass is valid at the location stated for that pass, and is not automatically transferable to another Nookyard location. Where the applicable location is known, it is shown on your pass and named in your confirmation email. Membership, by contrast, is network-wide unless a specific benefit says otherwise.
On your pass date, scan the QR code at the door to check in — the pass includes that day’s complimentary coffee and the member Wi-Fi. A day pass does not include private events, the members’ Discord, weekday reservations, or member discounts. If a day-pass payment is refunded, the pass is void and the access it covered ends (see §5). You can upgrade to a full membership at any time; membership terms and billing apply from the moment the upgrade takes effect. The code of conduct applies to day-pass holders exactly as it does to members.
Members with a club access plan may bring one guest each calendar month. On request we issue the guest a free day pass for an agreed date; the guest signs up for their own account, accepts these terms, and this section applies to their pass in full, except that no payment is due. The benefit doesn’t accumulate from month to month, and when the chosen day is full we may propose another date.
5. Payment
Some memberships are free (e.g. founders); paid memberships are recurring subscriptions billed through Stripe, our payment processor. The price and billing cycle are those shown at checkout and on the pricing page. You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Apart from your rights under applicable consumer law, fees already paid are not refunded when a subscription is cancelled mid-period, and if we refund a payment, the membership access it covered ends. The founding rate holds only while your membership stays active; if it lapses, the founding rate is forfeited and standard pricing applies on re-joining. If you delete an account with an active paid subscription, deletion takes effect at the end of the current subscription period and you keep access until then.
6. Code of conduct
Nookyard is a shared, respectful space. Be considerate of other members, staff, and the host café; no harassment, no illegal activity, and follow venue rules. Our full code of conduct is available on our Code of Conduct page. We may suspend or remove members who breach it.
7. Your account
You can delete your account anytime from Settings; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what deletion does. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms or to protect members and the venue.
8. Liability
The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis; we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability of the space or the platform. To the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law. You’re responsible for your personal belongings at the venue.
9. Friend membership
Friend of Nookyard is an annual membership (500 RON/year, renewing automatically) for people who want to belong to the community without a desk. It includes access to private Nookyard events, the members’ community including our Discord, and a 10% discount on food and drinks at Mélange. It does not include weekday or Saturday club access, a reserved seat, or the daily coffee benefit. At events with limited capacity, members with club access plans have priority over Friends. Billing follows section 5: the subscription renews annually through Stripe, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and the terms shown at checkout apply. Friends may apply for a full membership at any time and receive priority on the waitlist.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here. These terms are governed by the laws of Romania.
